Rainbow Labs Co-Founders Honored as LA Rams pLAymakers

Luis Vasquez and Jacob Toups, co-founders of Rainbow Labs, were honored by the LA Rams as "pLAymakers" for their work creating safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth of color. Drawing from their own experiences with exclusion in sports, the duo launched Rainbow Labs in 2020 to provide inclusive mentorship and community for queer and gender non-conforming teens. The program emphasizes intersectionality—supporting Black, Brown, and Latinx youth with mentors who reflect their lived experiences.

“We’re redefining what it means to be a gay Latino man,” said Vasquez. “If I can help just one person see themselves differently, that’s the mic drop.”
