Free Programs We Offer

  • Storytelling Lab

6-12 week in-school program where LGBTQ+ youth share their stories, lead projects, and shape their community. Their ideas drive the program — and their voices lead the way.

  • Innovation Lab

A STEM-focused mentorship program designed to address the underrepresentation of LGBTQIA+ individuals in science and technology.

  • Sports Lab

A welcoming space for LGBTQ+ youth to play, connect, and build confidence through team sports, seasonal leagues, and inclusive sports clinics led by supportive mentors.

  • Leadership Lab

From October through June, LGBTQIA+ youth serve as advisors to Rainbow Labs’ staff and board, contributing insights on programming, recruitment, and community needs.

  • Policy Lab

Lead advocacy efforts, shape local policy, and build inclusive communities—guided by mentors and in partnership with the SGV LGBTQ+ Youth Advocacy Coalition.

  • One Bold Summer

This program combines Storytelling and Leadership Lab into one unforgettable experience. You’ll explore “the story of me” and “the story of we,” with mentors supporting you the whole way.

  • Fun, Creative Programs: Whether you’re sharing your story, trying out a new sport, or building a business idea — every Lab is designed by QNGC youth, for QNGC youth. It’s appropriate for the teen life stage and will be packed with fun!

  • Real Connection: Meet people who see you, understand you, and want to build community with you. No judgment, no cliques, and zero pressure!

  • Mentors Who Understand: Our mentors are LGBTQIA+ adults trained in trauma-informed care and youth development. Many have walked a similar path and are here to guide, support, and celebrate you.

  • Practical Life Skills: Leadership, confidence, teamwork, communication — these are just a few of the things you’ll build in every Lab

“I had a blast, I came in not knowing what to expect, and if there was one word to describe the entire experience was AMAZING. I had such a good time and had an even greater appreciation for each and every mentor.”
