On October 17, 2024, Rainbow Labs held its first-ever Violet Visionary Awards at Serra on Vine, honoring artist VINCINT and activist Ashlee Marie Preston for their impact on the LGBTQ+ community. Hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race star Nina West, the Spirit Day event featured powerful performances from House Ballroom legends and celebrated the transformative power of mentorship with the Light of the Future Award given to mentee Allix Grace and mentor Gael Alegria.
The event also marked the launch of Rainbow Labs’ Dream Builder Lab, a monthly giving program supporting Queer and Gender Nonconforming youth across Los Angeles through sports, leadership, and storytelling programs.
