Barrio Action Pride Resource Fair
Barrio Action is hosting a Pride Luncheon on June 4 from 10am-2pm! Join us for an afternoon of resources, community engagement & enlightening conversations. All ages welcomed!
LGBTQ+ Sports Day
We'll be hosting a full day of conversations and programming on LGBTQ+ youth and sports. The day will kick off with a panel discussion on how we can make sports more inclusive for LGBTQ+ youth. Then we'll lead into sports stations where youth will rotate between different stations which will be managed by LGBTQ+ sports organizations.
One Bold Summer 2023
Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30 - 3:30 PM
One Bold Summer is a free nine week mentoring program for LGBTQ+ youth 12-18 in Los Angeles County. Mentoring is offered in groups virtually twice a week (Tuesday and Thursdays.) There are two LGBTQ+ mentors for each group of youth. We also host in person events, dances, and field trips throughout the summer. Drag Queen Bingo Fundraiser
We'll be hosting a bingo fundraiser for Rainbow Labs. Our youth will be in attendance. Groups usually show up and participate in a fun night of bingo and charity. Save the dates coming soon!
Rainbow Labs - Partner Thank You
We're hosting an evening to thank everyone who got us to where we are today! It'll be a casual event with drinks, awards, and thank yous.
MTV Mental Health Action Day
We were just awarded a grant from MTV to host a mental health action day. We're parting with LGBTQ+ youth providers and other stakeholders to host a conversation (panel) on LGBTQ+ youth mental health and host a training on how we can support LGBTQ+ youth.
Storytelling Slam
We are wrapping up two of our Storytelling Labs with our Storytelling Slam. Students will share the stories they've been working on for the past 10 weeks.
Haus Labs x Rainbow Labs
We are teaming up with Lady Gaga's makeup brand Haus Labs to give some of our youth a makeup tutorial in time for the upcoming prom season. Youth will work with Lady Gaga's makeup team to come up with their look. We'll be hosted at their studio in El Segundo (near LAX) for a half-day session followed by lunch.
